FEDCO is seeking qualified candidates for sales engineer position(s). Sales engineers are responsible for sales, marketing and support of company products. The qualified candidate will apply knowledge of products, technology, marketing objectives, sales objectives and sales skills to assess the customer’s needs and assist them in applying FEDCO products and services to their needs resulting in a winning and cost effect solution.

The sales engineer will:

• Perform sales work, inside and outside, by calling on customers such as engineers, architects, end users or other professional and technical personnel at establishments;
• Assist customers with product configurations for their specific application by analyzing hydraulic and operating conditions for RO systems;
• Provide technical services to clients relating to use, operation, and maintenance of equipment, motors, VFDs;
• Prepare comprehensive technical quotations;
• Negotiate and close orders;
• Customer follow-up calls;
• Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets;
• Provide sales support and demonstration expertise at Trade Shows and technical conferences;
• Develop and deliver technical sales presentations;
• Assist in development of sales campaigns, advertisements, and product manuals; and
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Education and Training: Bachelors degree in engineering or related technical field. Prior sales experience is required, preferably in reverse osmosis industry and be familiar with energy recovery and/or pumping equipment.
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Processing software.
• Travel: Both domestic and international travel required up to 25%. Must be willing to relocate near FEDCO’s main office in Michigan.
